Why I enjoyed every minute:

we decided to have a week in an unspoilt area we had not visited. We hired a house in the old fishing village of Craster, which is to the south of Berwick. The village is famed for its oak-smoked kippers. The harbour is quaint and colourful and the countryside near by is full of interest, from the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle to the stately home of Howick Hall.
