Known the world over for amazing trout fishing, the River Test winds through an area of outstanding natural beauty. Walk or cycle the 44-mile Test Way, shoot clay pigeons, play golf or go horse-riding on Stockbridge Downs? Too energetic for us. We spent our time photographing chocolate box villages, taking idyllic riverside walks, indulging in delicious pub lunches, visiting the rose gardens of Mottisfont Abbey and shopping in the beautiful cathedral city of Winchester – a perfect long weekend!
