Rutland is the most beautiful place I have visited in England and is the perfect place for a weekend away from London (it's only just over an hour away). The highlights for me were the complete peace and tranquility, the unspoilt villages, the wonderful views across Rutland Water and the great range of restaurants and pubs serving real, quality food. And I can't miss out the fantastic little town of Oakham with it's pretty stone buildings. Absolutely great, can't wait to come back again!
