Why I enjoyed every minute:

No-one seems to believe that Britain can be a brilliant holiday destination during the Winter, but the week my partner and I spent in the Lake District nearly 2 years ago was perfect. At that time my partner was recovering from a long illness, and I was recovering from looking after him! There were no crowds to be seen, no traffic jams, just stunning scenery and amazing food! I have no doubt that the week we spent there aided in his recovery, both physical and mental. It was wonderful.
