My friends and I spent a wonderful weekend in the Cotswolds - the weather was superb, the people unbelievably friendly. We had no car, just took trains and busses. We stayed in Painswick in a splendid little inn with themed room and the best breakfast you could imagine. We drank organic cider in the sunshine and went for walks in the countryside, shopped till we dropped in Cheltenham and polished off the weekend with a champagne lunch. It was perfect in every way.
